Activate Pro License

You bought Pro. Thank you.

Step 1: Get your license key

After checkout on Polar you will receive an email and can view the key in your Polar dashboard (under Orders).

The key looks like: RP-PRO-2026-XXXX-YYYY (or the Polar order ID if we use that).

Step 2: Activate in the CLI

routeplane license activate <YOUR-KEY>

This stores the key securely in your local credential store (same place as provider tokens).

Step 3: Verify

routeplane license status

You should see:

License: Pro (v0.1)
Activated: 2026-07-03
Features unlocked: Fusion, Guardrails, OpenTelemetry, unlimited providers, server tools

Where the key lives

• macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/routeplane/credentials
• Linux: $XDG_DATA_HOME/routeplane/credentials or ~/.local/share/routeplane/credentials
• Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\routeplane\credentials

The file is mode 0600 on Unix and the tokens are redacted in Debug output. See the security review in the daemon for details.

What you get today (v0.1.0)

All Pro features are already in the open-source binary:

• Unlimited providers (no artificial limit)
• Fusion (multi-model panel + judge)
• Guardrails (prompt/output redaction & blocking)
• Custom named presets
• OpenTelemetry traces & metrics
• Server tools (advisor, web search, subagents)

Team features (audit log, per-user rate limits, seat management) are planned for future Cloud offerings.
